Who we are
nqrah is a platform for creating and running online stores, operated from Egypt. In this policy, “we” means nqrah, “merchant” means a store owner and their team, and “customer” means anyone who buys from a store on nqrah.
Our role
We are the controller of merchants’ and their teams’ data: account, sign-in, settings and billing.
Each store’s customer data is controlled by the merchant; we process it on their behalf and on their instructions only. We never use one store’s customer data for another store, and we never sell it.
What we collect
From merchants: name, email, phone number, sign-in data (passwords are stored as a one-way hash), store settings and an activity log.
From store customers, on the merchant’s behalf: name, phone, delivery address, orders and conversations with the store.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and request times, for security and fraud prevention.
How we use it
To run the platform and its features, protect stores against fraud, provide support and meet legal obligations. We do not use data for targeted advertising and we do not sell it.
AI and sub-processors
When AI features are used, we send the data needed for the task, such as a product photo or the requested text, to the enabled provider. nqrah uses Claude models through Anthropic or the configured cloud provider; processing and retention follow the terms of the provider in use.
Other processors include our hosting provider, Cloudflare for delivery and protection, email and messaging providers, and the payment gateways and couriers each merchant chooses for their store.
Transfers outside Egypt
Some processors are outside Egypt. We transfer data only as far as the service requires, with suitable contractual and technical safeguards, and in line with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its executive regulations.
Security
Each store’s data is isolated from every other inside the database, and store secrets (such as payment gateway keys) are encrypted with a key of their own. We offer two-step verification and passkeys, and we log sensitive changes.
Retention
We keep data while the account exists, then delete or anonymise it, except what the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
Your rights
You may access, correct and delete your data, and object to its processing, under Law No. 151 of 2020. If you are a customer of a store on nqrah, contact the store first: it controls your data, and we will help it answer your request.
Cookies
The site uses cookies to remember display preferences, such as language and light or dark mode. We do not use advertising tracking tools on the marketing site.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will tell merchants by email or in the console before the change applies.
